AB1380 ULTRASONOGRAPHIC CHANGES OF PLANTAR FASCIA IN PATIENTS WITH PLANTAR FASCIITIS DUE TO ACQUIRED FLAT FOOT

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background Plantar fasciitis is a chronic degenerative process of the plantar fascia enthesis. It manifests by pain, predisposition to prolonged course and treatment resistance. In many cases, develops in patients with acquired flat feet. Taken into consideration above mentioned, study changes feet sonography relevant. Objectives To investigate quantitative qualitative sonographic case foot. Methods 190 on basis (133 females 57 males). The average age was 48 ± 0.97 years (18-81years). Unilateral pathology noted 117 bilateral – 73 patients. body mass index 27.68±0.3. duration pain syndrome 101 6.0 days (7-390 days). lasted up from 1 6 months 152 patients, more than 38 control group included 15 healthy volunteers (30 feet). Clinical radiological, sonographic, statistical methods were used. Results main features significant reduction echogenicity, erased or missing fibrous pattern, fuzzy contour aponeurosis; modified calcaneus; small focal hyperechogenicity points enthesis detected. Loci vascularization detected using power Doppler sonography. thickness 6,14±1,5 mm (2,3-7,7 mm) 3,5±0,1 (2,5-4,4 mm). Conclusion Sonographic signs echogenicity structure, contours cortical layer fascia, thickening 4 mm. Disclosure Interests None declared

Ultrasonographic evaluation in plantar fasciitis.

The heels of 23 patients who were diagnosed with unilateral/bilateral plantar fasciitis were evaluated via ultrasonography and compared with their asymptomatic feet and a control group of 23 people. Plantar fascial thickness, echogenity, and heel pad thickness were evaluated, and the results were statistically analyzed. For symptomatic feet, increased thickness of the fascia and reduced echogen...

The Effect of Different Types of Foot Orthoses on Foot Plantar Pressure in Subjects with Plantar Fasciitis: A Literature Review

Objective Plantar fasciitis is a plantar fascia inflammation and one of the most common causes of heel pain, causing pain in the inner side of the heel bone. The purpose of this investigation was to analyze the effect of different foot orthoses on the distribution of foot pressure in patients with plantar fasciitis. Materials & Methods The systematic search of PubMed, Science Direct and Web of...

Endoscopic Plantar Fascia Debridement for Chronic Plantar Fasciitis.

When conservative therapy fails for chronic plantar fasciitis, surgical intervention may be an option. Surgical techniques that maintain the integrity of the plantar fascia will have less risk of destabilizing the foot and will retain foot function. Endoscopic debridement of the plantar fascia can be performed reproducibly to reduce pain and maintain function of the foot.

Dry needling in patients with chronic heel pain due to plantar fasciitis: A single-blinded randomized clinical trial

Background: This study examined the effects of dry needling on chronic heel pain due to plantar fasciitis.   Methods: During this single-blinded clinical trial, 20 eligible patients were randomized into two groups: A case group treated with dry needling and a control group. Patients’ plantar pain severity, (using modified visual analog scale [VAS] scoring system), range of motion ...

The correlation between plantar fascia thickness and symptoms of plantar fasciitis.

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to determine whether changes in plantar fascia thickness are a reliable gauge of efficacy of treatment protocols for plantar fasciitis. METHODS Thirty-nine feet (30 patients) with plantar fasciitis received an ultrasound examination to measure the thickness of the medial band of the plantar fascia. Each patient assessed his or her pain using the visual...
